Two-Vehicle Accident in Front of Union State Bank Wednesday Morning / UPDATED / One Arrested at Scene

One person was transported to Floyd Cherokee Medical Center Wednesday morning, after a two-vehicle collision on the Cedar Bluff Road in Centre,

That wreck took place in front of Union State Bank at approximately 11:10am, and involved a 2013 Ford Edge driven by 62 year old Peggy Baty of Cedar Bluff and a 2000 Chevy C-1500 truck being driven by Tony Graham, age 54 of Weaver.

Baty was listed on the report as requiring medical attention while Graham was unhurt.

A passenger in Graham’s vehicle was placed under arrest at the scene, accused of becoming belligerent with emergency personnel.  As a result, Roy Walter Daugherty, age 22 of Centre, was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center on a charge of Harassment bonding out later that day after posting bail of $300.

Centre Police and Fire Department units responded to the scene along with Floyd EMS.

That accident remains under investigation by the Centre PD.
