Cedar Bluff Police Steve Walden Officially Retires After 25 Years Of Service

Following 25 years of dedicated service to the Town of Cedar Bluff and its citizens, Cedar Bluff Police Chief Steve Walden has decided to hang up the cuffs on final time. On Monday, a number of family members, friends, town officials and longtime coworkers gathered at the Cedar Bluff Community Center for a reception in Chief Walden’s honor.

Chief Walden told us it has been a pleasure and an honor to have served to the Town of Cedar Bluff and the residents during his tenure.

Walden said that he plans to do a whole lot of fishing and intends on staying active around town.

The town council has appointed Investigator Chris O’Neal to serve as the new Chief of Police effective immediately.
