Betty Jo Bedwell McClendon, age 89 of Rainbow City, passed away Friday, September 13th at Riverview Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2:PM Sunday, September 15th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Art Turner officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:PM Sunday, at the funeral home.

Survivors include brother, Doug (Andy) Bedwell of Gadsden; sisters, Shirley Shelley of Bartow, FL, Shelley Crowell of Chattanooga, TN, Martha Wright of Centre, Pat Moore of Brandon, MS; granddaughter, Shannon (Jeff) McCLain; great grandson, Justin McClain; 4 great-great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol George; 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Mrs. McClendon was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late James Claude and Bertha Lee Wood Bedwell, was a lab tech for Sony and was of the Methodist faith.
