One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident taking place early Thursday afternoon on Highway 411 South in Leesburg.
The collision was at approximately 1:00pm near the 411 intersection with Pine Cone Street and one person had to be extricated from one of the vehicles, before being transported to a Gadsden area hospital for treatment. Three others, including a small child, were checked at the scene as a precautionary measure and were found to be okay.
Leesburg Fire and Police units, Floyd EMS and Rescue Squad personnel all responded to the scene.
