A man was placed under arrest Monday, after he allegedly pulled a pistol on a Floyd County Police officer at a location in Lindale.
According to jail records, the subject, 48-year old Henry Parrish Erwin IV of a Collard Valley Road address, resisted while being placed under arrest for having a meth pipe. He attempted to flee and was tackled to the ground.
During the scuffle, Erwin reportedly pointed a gun in the direction of the officer. Erwin was pushed to the ground and tased to keep him from firing the weapon.
He was also found with two bags of methamphetamine, according to the report.
Erwin is charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, felony obstruction, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of meth and possession of drug-related objects.
