Rome Man Charged with Making Threats and Posting Inappropriate Photos of Woman on Social Media

A 36-year old Floyd County man was arrested early Sunday – after allegedly making threats and posting nude videos of a woman on social media.

According to arrest warrants, Jamar Shantay Finley of a Blacks Bluff Road address in Rome, posted videos of the victim in the nude to his Instagram and Facebook pages.

The incident reportedly occurred in January of this year.  Then in March, Finley allegedly threatened the victim via Facebook – saying he would go to her home and beat her up; he also reportedly suggested that he would enlist help to kill the victim for $500 and the request was met by a third party who wrote “K….Let’s play,” meaning he would complete the “job” for $1,000.

Finley is charged with violating the prohibition on nude or sexually explicit transmissions and with terroristic threats and acts, in addition to a couple of probation violations.
