A 46 year old Etowah County man is facing a number of charges including drug trafficking – according to Drug Unit Commander Randall Johnson.
Last month, agents executed an outstanding warrant on Fernando Lourenco Miliner, and in the wake of a subsequent search, Miliner was found to be in possession of some 248 grams of methamphetamine, a quantity of marijuana, and approximately $1,358 in U.S. currency.
Miliner was arrested on a $353,000 cash bond.
At the time of his arrest he was out on bond for Drug Trafficking, three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft of Property 2nd Degree.
That investigation is on-going and Johnson says additional state and federal charges related to the drugs seized in that case could be brought at a later date.
The Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit, Gadsden Police Department, Alabama National Guard Counterdrug Program, and FBI Safe Streets Task Force participated in the case.
