Mrs. Jannie Ayers Lewis

Mrs. Jannie Ayers Lewis, age 74 of Gaylesville passed away Tuesday August 27th at Grandview Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 3: PM Thursday August 29th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Dow Van Pelt, Rev. Lee Bryant, and Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Cherokee Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1PM until the hour of the service.

Nephews of Mrs. Lewis will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband of 35 years Frankie Lewis, brothers; Jimmy Ayers of Centre, Robert A. Ayers of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Jack Ayers of Guntersville, Kenny Ayers of Centre, Johnny Ayers of Fort Payne, sisters; Ann Armstrong of Centre, Debra Wigley of Deltona, FL, Shann Floyd of Hixon, TN, Sheila Clines of Gaylesville, chosen grandson; Bryson Teague, several nieces and nephews, Godson Josh Clines

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by God son, Jerrod Clines, brothers; Virgil, Don, and Joe Ayers, sister; Joan Wilkie.

Mrs. Lewis was a native of Cherokee county the daughter of the late Loyd B. and Ruby Edna Conner Ayers.  Jannie was a retired teacher’s aide and bank teller and was a member of Blanche United Methodist Church.
