Firefighters Respond to Shed Fire on County Road 112 Tuesday Afternoon

Firefighters with the Centre, Leesburg and Sand Rock departments were dispatched at 4:36 Tuesday afternoon to a report of a shed fire at a location on County Road 112.  That blaze was reportedly placing nearby structures in danger.

Centre and Sand Rock assisted the Leesburg Fire Department, quickly extinguishing the fire before it could cause damage to any of the surrounding structures. The shed itself was considered a complete loss – however, there was no other property loss and no one was hurt.

According to Centre Fire Chief Jeremy Lee his department responded with Centre Truck 9 and Engine 11, while other responding units included Leesburg Engines 3 and 6, along with Sand Rock Truck 343.
