“Celebrating the Stories of Alabama” Event at the Cherokee Country Club in Centre this Saturday

A very special event entitled “Celebrating the Stories of Alabama” – is coming up this Saturday at the Cherokee Country Club in Centre, starting at 5:00pm.

Keynote speakers include: Glen Wills, the author of “Forgotten Alabama” and Darryl Patton, author of “Mountain Medicine: the Herbalist Tommy Bass”.

Over a dozen Alabama authors will be in attendance, selling and autographing their books –  including David Hartline, author of the best-seller “What a Soldier Gives” with his new book on the legendary Tarzan White.

The Cherokee Country Club is located at 270 County Road 382.  Tickets are $25 at the door.

This “Alabama 200 Bicentennial” event is sponsored by Leadership Cherokee, the Cherokee County Historical Museum, Cherokee County Public Library and Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism.
