One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident on County Road 16 Thursday afternoon.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report listed the wreck as taking place just before 5:00, with a 2005 Chevrolet and a 2007 Chevrolet being involved.  Both drivers were listed as being residents of Centre – with the male driver of the 2007 Chevrolet being taken to an area hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Traffic was at a standstill for a period of time as crews worked to clear debris and move the vehicles – those responding included:  members of the Spring Creek Fire Department, Floyd EMS and Alabama State Troopers.

That wreck remains under investigation by troopers.
