The Centre Police Department has now released the accident report on Wednesday’s wreck on the Chesnut Bypass, which sent three people to the hospital.
That collision, involving a 2014 Toyota Camry being driven by 20 year old Kari Arnold from Centre and a 2018 Ford Fusion being driven by 17 year old Devan Hill, also of Centre – took place near the Fishin’ Hole Restaurant just after 2:00pm.
According to reports one of the vehicles struck a light pole, breaking it in half.
The Centre Police and Fire Department units, along with and Floyd EMS, quickly responded to the scene. Both drivers escaped injury – however, one adult passenger and two children, age 3 and 5, in the Ford Fusion were taken to Floyd Medical Center in Rome and from there, one of the youngsters was transported to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation by the Centre Police Department.
