100 New Jobs Coming to Gadsden with Motus Integrated Technologies Plant

Tier I auto supplier Motus Integrated Technologies has confirmed that it plans to construct a $15 million manufacturing plant in Gadsden and employ 100 people by mid-2020.  The plant, which will produce automotive interior parts and headliners – will reportedly be located in Gadsden’s Airport Industrial Park, with construction slated to begin within a few weeks.

Motus employs more than 2,000 people worldwide, with manufacturing facilities located in Michigan in the U.S., and in Germany, Japan, China and Mexico.  The company states that the jobs in Gadsden will have an average wage of more than $20 an hour.

Gadsden Mayor Sherman Guyton said the announcement of the plant, and high paying jobs, makes for “a great day for Gadsden and Etowah County.”
