Controlled Substance Arrests on Tuesday

Cherokee County authorities made five arrests involving four people, with one of those four being arrested, released and arrested again later that same day, on charges of possession of controlled substance on Tuesday.

Timothy Paul Martin, 55 of Centre – was placed under arrest prior to 8:30 that morning for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd Degree among other charges.  He was released after making bond of $10,500 at approximately 2:30pm; but he was arrested and booked into jail again just after 5:00pm on a charge of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance.

He currently remains in the Cherokee County Detention Center on bond of $2,500.

Stephanie Nicole Smith, age 23 of Rome, Georgia (photo unavailable); Tammy Diana Wyatt, age 50 of Piedmont; and Timothy Dale Teems, age 58 of Centre were each charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Wyatt was also charged with Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd Degree – while Teems was additionally charged with Failure to Appear on a prior charge of Driving while Suspended.

Bond for Smith was set at $3,000; at $5,500 for Wyatt and at $3,000 for Teems.
