The triumphant return of one of the most popular events in Cherokee County proved to be a success in downtown Cedar Bluff on Friday afternoon as many gathered to embrace the return of Cedar Bluff’s Liberty Day Celebration.

Cedar Bluff Mayor Tammy Crane and Town Council members would like to thank each and every business owner and those that made contributions to help make this years event a success.

Mayor Pro-Tem Norman Burton said that in years past, holding the festival became a financial burden on the town which is what prompted town officials to reluctantly cancel the event the last two years. With the help of local business owners and community members, the town was able to raise enough funds tp be able to support activities and the fireworks show.
