The husband of the woman shot and killed in East Gadsden on Saturday night has now been charged with felony Murder. Authorities stated thirty-three year old Amber Lee Gattis was found at a residence on McCluney Street shortly before 7:30 that evening – suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
She was transported to Gadsden Regional Medical Center and from there air-lifted to UAB – where she was later pronounced dead.
Forty-six year old Larry Allen Gattis was arrested – and booked in at the Etowah County Jail around 9:15 that night. His bond was set at $100,000 cash – and, according to the report by AL.COM his release was also revoked on two previous charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance dating back to 2015.
The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is on-going.
