Homtownheadlines.com is reporting that a 37-year-old Rome man was struck and killed by a train in the Coosa area early Friday morning.
According to Deputy Coroner Eric Johnston, the victim has been identified as Jeremiah Robbins.
He was struck and killed on impact by the train. It occurred along tracks between Huffaker Road and Woods Road.
He was pronounced dead at 4:45 a.m. Friday.
The initial call came into Floyd E-911 at 3:59 a.m.
