At approximately 1030 this morning a body was discovered around the 7000 block of County Road 22 Centre. Neighbors discovered the body and help bring it to shore while first responders were en route.
Cherokee County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that the victim was Thomas Eugene Taylor, age 77 of a County Road 22 address as well as a resident of Huntsville. No foul play is suspected at this time.
The Cherokee County Coroner’s Office and Cherokee County Sheriff Investigators are handling the case.
