Per the Cherokee County Water Authority – due to relocation of the new bridge in Ellisville, on Highway 9 – the main water line had to be re-routed, leading to some air in the lines and some discoloration of the water.
Crews are flushing those lines today (Thursday May 16th) and diligently working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
It is recommended by the Water Authority that area residents drink bottled water today.
