AHSAA 2019 STATE BASEBALL QUARTERFINALS

CLASS 1A NORTH SUB-STATE
No. 7 Spring Garden (25-4) swept Heritage Christian Academy, Hoover (16-12) by the scores of 4-3 and 11-1.  Spring Garden advances to the 1A North championship where they will play No. 4 Mars Hill Bible. 

CLASS 2A NORTH SUB-STATE

Cedar Bluff (19-10) won the first game 15-4 and lost the second game 13-7 to No. 3 Decatur Heritage (23-7).  They will play the “if necessary” game today (Fri., May 3, 2 p.m.) to see which team advances and meets the winner of No. 10 Red Bay vs. No. 7 Westbrook Christian in the 2A North championship.   

CLASS 3A NORTH SUB-STATE

No. 5 Piedmont (34-8) swept Westminster Christian (16-18) by the scores of 6-3 and 4-1. Piedmont advances to the 3A North championship where they will play the winner of No. 2 Winfield vs. No. 6 Phil Campbell

CLASS 4A NORTH SUB-STATE
No. 1 Hokes Bluff (23-3) at Fayette County (19-15), Fri., May 3, 4:30 and 7 p.m. (Sat., May 4, 1 p.m., if needed)

CLASS 5A NORTH SUB-STATE
No. 6 Springville (28-5) at No. 4 Southside-Gadsden (25-14), Fri., May 3, 4:30 and 7 p.m. (Sat., May 4, 1 p.m., if needed)
