Authorities in Floyd County said that an inmate was found dead in the Floyd County Jail on Thursday morning. Fifty-six-year old Tony Curtis Langston, was in jail on charges of arson, burglary and aggravated stalking.
Sheriff Tim Burkhalter said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been contacted and will be conducting an investigation into Langston’s death – which is customary any time there is a death occurring in a jail in the state of Georgia.
An autopsy has been scheduled for today (Friday) to determine the cause of death.
