DeKalb County Schools Superintendent Jason Barnett released a statement at noon that, based on guidance from the DeKalb EMA and National Weather Service all DeKalb County Schools will dismiss at 2:00 today, March 14, 2019.
DeKalb County Schools joins several other school systems that will be dismissing early due to the incoming severe weather in Alabama. At this time, Cherokee County Schools have not announced any early dismissal, but we will provide any update to this as it becomes available.
