5 Alabamians Identified in Fatal Accident in Trenton, Georgia

The Georgia State Patrol has identified the victims of a two-car head-on collision in Dade County, Georgia, with 5 Alabamians involved.

The crash occurred on Georgia Highway 301 near Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Trenton on Tuesday afternoon.

The GSP says a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by 23 year old Destiny Cagle of Bryant, Alabama, was traveling north on 301 and was negotiating a curve. From here, officials say the Camaro crossed the center line of the roadway and struck a 2009 Nissan Sentra driven by Zachary Evans of Henegar.

Both drivers were killed with a passenger of the Camaro, 20 year old Nathan Smith of Higdon, pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

24 year old William Wells of Ider and 19 year old Isaac Wright of Higdon, were also injured in the crash. Wells is in critical condition while Wright suffered less serious injuries.
