2nd Grade Class At Gaston Elementary School Dontate Snack Money And Allowance To Assist Those Affected By The Recent Flood

The 2nd grade class of Gaston Elementary School has been learning about what it means to be super citizens and in doing so wanted to help those affected by the recent flood in Cherokee County.

When the class of Mrs. Beth Lockridge heard about the animal shelter, they unanimously agreed to donate their own money to help care for the pets.

Some donated snack money and others brought their allowance from home. Mrs. Lockridge told WEIS Radio News “They are truly a precious class and we hope this money will be helpful, we are keeping the families affected by the flood in our thoughts and prayers.”

All of at WEIS Radio would like to say thank you to these students and the faculty and staff at Gaston School for lending a helping hand to Cherokee County residents in their time of need.
