Chamber Of Commerce Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony For La Marina Mexican Restaurant in Leesburg

The Chamber of Commerce held their official ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday afternoon for one of the new local eating establishments here in Cherokee County.

La Marina Mexican Restaurant, located at 105 Holman Street in Leesburg, offers a tex-mex menu with plenty of specialties that is sure to please the stomachs of anyone that makes the trip out to them. Sue Hudson is the owner of La Marina and took the opportunity out of her busy schedule to speak with us about how she and her husband found this spot in Leesburg and how they are becoming familiar with the area.

WEIS Radio’s Road Crew was on hand for the ribbon cutting and was treated to one of the favorites as suggested by the staff, the Leesburg Special, which was a steak, chicken, and shrimp dish over rice and covered in cheese. The food was good enough to get glowing reviews from us, with the soft rice combined with the cheese and finely cooked meat trio creating a delectable experience for the mouth.

La Marina is open Sundays and Tuesday-Thursday from 11 A.M. to 9 P.M., and from Friday-Saturday from 11 A.M. to 11 P.M. For more information you can give them a call at 256-526-7168, or visit them on their Facebook Page, La Marina Mexican Restaurant.
