UPDATE| Man Seriously Cut During Domestic Incident On County Road 29, No Arrests Made

It appears that no one was actually arrested following a domestic incident involving three individuals where a man was seriously cut. The incident occurred on County Road 29 on Monday morning.

According to Chief Deputy Josh Summerford, while on routine patrol Deputy Tracy Nelson spotted a man who had been cut. Deputy Nelson quickly applied a tourniquet, a move that Summerford said ultimately saved the man’s life because he had a serious cut to an artery.

Summerford said that the man underwent surgery at a Rome hospital. Summerford said that deputies did not make an arrest because it was unclear who was actually at fault.

The case will be presented to a Cherokee County Grand Jury. The case remains under investigation.
