One person is dead following a single-vehicle accident on Mathis Road off of Highway 411 at 8:48 a.m. Tuesday morning.
According to Floyd County Police, a Toyota 4-Runner was traveling north and hit a patch of ice.
The vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole.
According to the Floyd County Coroner’s office, the driver has been identified as Cami Sheree Depaz. She was a resident of Floyd County and was pronounced dead at 9:40 A.M.
A passenger escaped with minor injuries to the elbow and wrist.
