One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident taking place Wednesday afternoon on the Chesnut Bypass in Centre. Shortly after 4:30 a collision involving a 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora and a 2004 Chevy Silverado occurred at the intersection of Tate’s Chapel Road, injuring the driver of the pickup – 29 year old Lisa Rogers of Centre. She was transported by Floyd EMS to Floyd Cherokee Medical Center for treatment.
Jessica Brooks, age 34 of Centre, driving the Oldsmobile, was unhurt.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation. Centre Police and firefighters along with the Cherokee County Rescue Squad also responded.
