Incredibly, only one person was hurt in a three-vehicle accident taking place on Wednesday morning in Etowah County.

That wreck took place at 9:55 on U.S. 411 approximately four miles north of Gadsden and it involved a 2009 Chrysler being driven by Sherri Pettit of Altoona, a 2004 Ford being driven by Ashley Cate of Gadsden and a 2015 Nissan driven by Kristy Gwin of Rainbow City.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report indicated only Petitt was hurt in the collision while Cate and Gwin were merely shaken up.

Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
