A DeKalb County man was recently arrested for being in possession of a sizeable amount of methamphetamine.
When a Drug Task Force Agent conducted a traffic stop for a switched tag on Highway 75 in Geraldine around noon last Friday (February 15th), it was discovered that the passenger in the vehicle had probation warrants in the county for manufacturing.
A subsequent search of that subject – who was identified as 39 year old Steven Caneer of Ft Payne – turned up approximately 12 grams of methamphetamine. Digital scales, opiod pills alongs with marijuana and a syringe were also found.
Caneer was taken into custody and charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance, the Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a Probation Violation.
