State Troopers Respond to Two Accidents on Sunday – One in DeKalb; One in Etowah

Alabama State Troopers responded to a pair of single-vehicle accidents involving injuries in neighboring counties on Sunday afternoon.

About 4:30, an accident involving a 2017 Kia driven by Julia Wilson, led to two occupants of the vehicle being treated for injuries.  They were identified as Mahaley Stanfield and Catera Bothwell – no additional information regarding the extent of their injuries was immediately available.  That wreck took place on I-59 at the 177 mile marker in Etowah County.

At around 5:20pm, an accident on Alabama 176 in DeKalb County resulted in the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet being hurt.  The injured party was listed on the report as Alexis Schagheter; no details were noted.

Both accidents remain under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
