New Forecast Says “There’s Still a Lot of Rain on the Way, But Less Than First Predicted” / UPDATED

There’s still a lot of rain on the way – but not nearly as much as had first been thought.

The National Weather Service is scaling back the rain amounts they’re predicting for this week – maybe not ten inches; now the target is possibly as much as eight – maybe;  or more like four to six.

Today (Monday) will likely be the driest day of the week with rain starting on Tuesday then last into Friday, and it could be heavy at times – especially on Wednesday and Thursday.

The National Weather Service warns the potential for flooding is still VERY much a concern, especially in north Alabama.  Flooding will be possible in the usually flood-prone urban and low-lying areas.
