Floyd EMS Opens New Station In Cedar Bluff

An official Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held for the new Floyd EMS Station located inside the Piggly Wiggly Shopping Center in downtown.

Members of the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency, the Cherokee County E911 Board along with a number of representatives from Floyd Healthcare in addition to representatives from the Town of Cedar Bluff were on hand for the event.

During the ceremony Bud Owens, Executive Director of Emergency Medical Services made this statement

David Early who is the Vice President of Support Services and Operations at Floyd Cherokee Medical Center also spoke briefly during the ceremony

Andy Fairel, Captain of Operations at Floyd EMS told us that the station will be manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
