Edgar Lee Gentry age 79 of Centre passed away Sunday February 3rd at his residence.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday February 6th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Studdard officiating, burial will follow in Mt. Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Dillon Pierce, DeWayne Pierce, Eugene Coggins, Darryl Gentry and Thomas Gentry.

Survivors include son, Jimmy Gentry of Centre; daughter, Stacey (Carey) Chesnut of Sand Rock; sister, Becky Reeves Cedartown, Ga.; grandchildren, John and Jacob Chesnut; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Gentry and a son, Ronnie Gentry.

Mr. Gentry was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Charles E. and Moudie Bing Gentry.
