Sarah Lucille Payne Denton, age 75 of Gaylesville, passed away Monday, January 28th at her residence.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3:PM (CST) at Perry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:PM (CST) Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include sons, Tim Bishop of Armuchee, GA and Danny (Melody) Denton of Rome, GA; daughters, Debbie (Bob) McGonnell of Rochester, NY, Marie (Chester) Brinson of Rome, GA, Deana Carnahan of Armuchee, GA; brothers, John Henry Payne, Jr. of Gaylesville, Jerry (Darcell) Payne of Brooks, GA; sister, Martha Jane (Dean) Hewett of Forsyth, GA; 20 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Delia Ann Hamby; brothers, David and Thomas Payne; sisters, Clara Evelyn Garrett, Ruby Ann Miller.
Mrs. Denton was a native of Dekalb county, the daughter of the late John Henry and Opal Ophelia Hightower Payne and was of the Baptist faith. Her passion in life was Flea Marketing and finding treasures.
