Traffic Stop In Cedar Bluff Leads To Drug Trafficking Arrest

On Friday afternoon, during a routine traffic stop, Cedar Bluff Police Officer Chris Vaughn K-9 Officer Jagger located a quantity of methamphetamine.

Officer Vaughn observed the driver of the vehicle identified as 22 year old Andrew Clayton Crowe of Mentone, acting suspiciously and evading questions.

It was at that point that Jagger indicated that he detected the odor of narcotics in the car. A physical search revealed a bag containing 112 grams (nearly 4 ounces) of methamphetamine hidden between the driver’s seat and the console.

Crowe was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center where he is being held on $75,500 bond.

Officer Vaughn and Jagger were assisted in the search by Sheriff’s Office Deputy Lt. Bo Jolly.
