An 18 wheeler hauling wood chips overturned Monday afternoon on the Alabama Highway in Floyd County, Georgia.
That accident took place shortly before 4:00pm between Highway 100 North and Old River Road shutting down the eastbound lanes of the Alabama Highway for a short period of time. The driver of the rig was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the mishap; however, no information regarding his condition has been made available.
That accident remains under investigation.
