Two Etowah County men are residing in the Cherokee County Detention Center in the wake of being arrested on drug charges overnight.
Albert James Allen, age 50 and Ernest O’Neal Lane age 63 – both of Gadsden – were charged with the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Lane was additionally charged with DUI.
Bond for Allen, who was booked in just after midnight has been set at $3,000 – and for Lane who was booked in around 1:15am, bond has been set at $4,500.
