Three Hurt in U.S. 411 Accident Monday Afternoon in Etowah County

At least one Cherokee County resident was hurt in a three-vehicle accident taking place late Monday afternoon across the Etowah County line.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report that wreck occurred at 5:30pm on U.

S. 411 near Patterson’s Grocery and involved a Mack Truck driven by William Crane of Gadsden, a 2016 Hyundai Sonata driven by Misty Edwards from Centre and a 2018 Chevrolet being driven by Josh Edmondson of a Gadsden address.

The report listed Crane and Edwards as being hurt in the wreck – along with a passenger in the Edwards vehicle, identified as Justin Cunningham.  No additional information was immediately available regarding the extent of their injuries.  Edmondson was unhurt in the mishap.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
