According to the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, one person is confirmed dead and two others injured following a shooting incident at a towing business in Attalla on Thursday afternoon.
Captain Josh Morgan told media outlets that the incident occurred at the business on Wesson Lake Road in Attalla.
Morgan said that deputies received the report at around 12:50 p.m. and when deputies arrived they discovered three gunshot victims, who were taken to area hospitals. One person has died.
The names of the victims’ have not yet been confirmed. Officials from Jacksonville State University’s Center for Applied Forensics also responded to the scene.
Law enforcement believe one of the people involved in the shooting was an employee, but that has not yet been confirmed.
