Three Cherokee County residents were arrested on drug charges Christmas Day – with a 44 year old Gaylesville man, Jerry Wayne Battles, being charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Domestic Violence 3rd Degree.
Tonya Battles Pannell, age 34, also of Gaylesville and 19 year old Nicholas Logan Pannell of Centre were each charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All were booked into jail between 11:00 and 11:30am December 25th where they currently remain. Bond for Battles has been set at $21,000 with bond for Tonya and Nicholas Pannell set at $1,000 each.
