A Valley Head man has been charged with Murder in connection to a homicide that occurred in Dade County, Georgia.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris says that the DeKalb County Special Response Team executed a search/arrest warrant at 47989 U.S. Highway 11 in Valley Head just before daybreak Friday.

The Alabama State Bureau of Investigations, Georgia Bureau of Investigations and the Dade County Georgia Sheriff’s Office assisted on the execution of the warrant.      

Officers arrested 72 year old Samuel Street of Valley Head and charged him with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of felony; these warrants were obtained by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.

Street was transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center and is awaiting extradition to Dade County Georgia.
