Three area residents were arrested on drug distribution charges Thursday.
According to information posted on the Cherokee County’s Sheriff’s Office website, Joshua Lee Rainey, age 33 and Margie Lynn Lucas, 37, both of Piedmont; and Cody Julian Shawnee Haney, age 27 of Centre, were all arrested on charges of Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Rainey was additionally charged with Attempting to Elude.
They were booked into jail between 9:00 and 10:00am Thursday – with bond for Lucas and Haney being set at $18,500 each while bond for Rainey was set at $20,000.
All three currently remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
