A Chattooga County man is currently being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond, after being caught with drugs by the Rome/Floyd Metro Drug Task Force. Brian Ranard Wiggins, age 33 of a Highway 114 Lyerly address was arrested after being stopped on Highway 100 in western Floyd County.
After a search of Wiggin’s vehicle, he was allegedly found to be in possession of a significant quantity of methamphetamine, Xanax, MDMA (otherwise known as Molly or Ecstasy) – and marijuana. Police say he also attempted to throw away a quantity of suspected heroin.
Charges against Wiggins include abandonment of dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, three counts of trafficking illegal drugs, possession of methamphetamine and possession of meth with the intent to distribute and a misdemeanor count for possession of marijuana.
