The Annual Rock Run Christmas Parade Set For December, 15

The Annual Rock Run Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 15th with the line-up starting at 1:00 P.M. The Christmas Parade will start promptly at 3:00 P.M. Keith Word will be serving as the DJ-Emcee for the parade.

Lunch will be served by the ladies of the Rock Run/Spring Garden Community serving hot soups, chili, drinks, as well as deserts. Lunch will be served around 12:00 Noon. Deserts will be served at the end of the Parade by Union Grove United Methodist Church.

Christian music will be performed by Judge Ryan Robertson, Cleburne County Probate Judge and Roger Hammett during the line-up of the Christmas Parade that will be truly enjoyed by everyone.

Grand Marshalls are Mr. Fred Jennings and the Spring Garden Lady Panther State Basketball Champions for 2017. The Annual Rock Run Christmas Parade is open to all entries including beauty pageant winners, classic cars, trucks, and tractors, gators, razors, rail buggies, horses, floats, commercial vehicles, law enforcement automobiles and any fire department vehicles, all EMA and rescue squad vehicles, bands, singing groups, church choirs, church entries, business entries, school or PARD sports teams, all cheerleaders, flag bearers, or majorettes and dance line members, Boy and Girl Scout groups, any veteran vehicles or military style vehicles, motorcycles, three and four wheelers, and any other entry that displays patriotism, dance groups, ballet groups, Annual Shelter groups, Christianity, and Patriotism. Please come out and support the Rock Run Christmas Parade.

Invited to join us in the parade this year are: all groups and organizations at Piedmont City Schools, Piedmont Police Department, Piedmont Fire Department, Piedmont Rescue Squad, Several members of the Piedmont High School Blue Knights Marching Band, any and all  newspaper organizations, radio stations, and television stations, and any elected officials in Calhoun, Cherokee, or DeKalb Counties. We are building the Parade and welcome anyone who wishes to join us in the annual 2018 Rock Run Christmas Parade.

All children, kids, and youth please remember to bring large bags since there will be lots of candy thrown that day along with brand new stuffed animals and don’t forget Mayfield Ice Cream Sandwiches. Questions may be referred to Grady Rhinehart at 256-447-7366.
