Firefighters from Broomtown, Gaylesville and Cedar Bluff responded to a 9-1-1 reporting a structure fire at a residence on County Road 125 just after 3:00 Tuesday afternoon. Fire units arrived in the scene to find smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home.

Reportedly there was no one at home at the time the fire started. Firefighters pulled three dogs from the home and with the assistance of Floyd EMS Medics attempted to revive the animals.
