The Cherokee County Highway Department reminds everyone a portion of County Road 17, near the bridges over Yellow Creek, is CLOSED for bridge replacement projects. During this time all traffic, with the exception of local traffic will be detoured. The road will be closed at the intersection of County Road 70 on the southern end and Circle Drive on the northern end.
It’s anticipated that these bridges will remain closed for around four months, depending on weather conditions. The patience of the public is greatly appreciated.
