Rome Man Accused of Pouring Gasoline in Woman’s Living Room in Attempt to Start Fire

A 56 year old Rome resident was recently arrested in connection with what was apparently an attempt to commit arson in Cave Spring.

According to Floyd County Jail records – Tony Curtis Langston, of a Decatur Street address, entered a residence on McGee Bend Road in violation of a Temporary Protective Order and poured gasoline in the living room area with the intent to start a fire.  Langston reportedly acted in a violent manner toward the female victim, causing her to flee the house in fear.  SWAT was dispatched, but Langston had already left the residence.

He was later taken into custody, and then jailed on charges of Arson 1st Degree, Aggravated Stalking and Burglary 1st Degree.
