One person was hurt in a two-vehicle accident taking place last Saturday (October 20th), on Highway 9 in Centre around 1:15 that afternoon.

According to the Centre Police Department accident report the wreck involved a 2015 Ford Edge driven by 76 year old Betty Poore of Centre and a 2014 Chevy Cruze being driven by a 20 year old Centre resident, Chase Bedwell.  The report indicated that Poore did not receive medical treatment at the scene; meanwhile, Bedwell was carried to Floyd Cherokee Medical Center by private vehicle. 

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by The Centre Police Department.
