Foul play was not involved in the death of a man who was found on the steps of Trinity United Methodist Church Sunday morning.
According to Floyd County Coroner Gene Proctor, 42-year old Bradley Scot Roberts, who was homeless, had set up a campsite near the 5th Avenue campus of the church (formerly 5th Avenue Baptist Church).
Overnight, he went into distress due to a medical condition and died.
Proctor said video surveillance was able to follow Roberts from the time he set up camp until the time he passed away and no one else was around.
Roberts was in an area that could not be seen from the road, and he was found at around 7:30 a.m. by church members.
